Job Description |
The Organisation Abuja Technology Village Foundation Ltd/Gte is charged with the responsibility of designing, planning and overseeing the implementation of programs related to the promotion of national development in the areas of direct correlation with a Technology Park development project in the Federal Capital Territory. The key catch phrases behind the object of the Foundation include support of the rural poor with the use of technology, promotion of science & technology education, promotion of the use of environmentally friendly energy solutions and other sustainable initiatives ; and, support of technology incubation. The Foundation recognizes community, the environment and sustainable development as key to its success and core mandate. The Job Under the guidance of a Board of Directors comprising highly creditable Nigerians, the program Head will manage the affairs of the foundation. S/he will develop plans according to SMART and other best practice project management concepts; identify and establish contact with key stakeholders; oversee fundraising drives; and, manage the execution of the programs. To effectively achieve the aforementioned goals, s/he would be expected to first explore reputable Developmental and Non-Governmental Organisations to design the organisational and operations framework for the newly established Foundation. |
Qualifications of the Candidate |
The Person The ideal candidate should possess Management experience in Leadership roles and requisite professional skills, knowledge and capabilities in programs/projects design and management, preferably with hands-on experience from international charity-based organisations/projects. S/he should have a first degree from a reputable university. Professional qualification in project management will be of added advantage. The candidate is also expected to possess good listening skills, strong communication and presentation skills, strong interpersonal and networking skills. Also, self-motivation and confidence to work autonomously are desirable. There is no gender bias on the suitability for this position. |
